The Dixon Public Library's 2017 Food for Fines program will run from October 16th - November 15th and benefit the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Dixon Public Library card holders can exchange canned good and other boxed foods for library overdue fines. One dollar ($1) in current fines* waived for each can or package of non-perishable food brought to the library. A maximum of $10 will be waived per cart. Please bring canned goods, items in boxes or plastice bags, or jars (no glass can be accepted) to the circulation desk at the Dixon Public Library. Don't forget your Dixon Library card!- No drop-offs please- No glass containers- No open, repackaged or expired food- No home-canned/jarred food*Food for Fines does NOT include replacement fees for lost or damaged materials, collection agency fees, card replacement fees, Link+ fees, and future overdue fines.
