Description Postcard of Foster Brothers Cannery by railroad tracks. Long wooden structure. Photo very faded. Addressed to Mrs. J. M. Olivas in San Francisco. Mailed from Dixon on March 11, 1906.
Note at bottom of postcard states " Virginia's brother has been very sick and could not write to you. Sister."
Foster's original cannery was destroyed by fire in 1901. It was rebuilt in 1903 on property bounded by Mayes and Jefferson and Broadway Streets. It was just west of the Granger's Business Association Warehouse No. 3.
