Local Literacy Programs

 
Yolo County Library Literacy Program
  Provide free instruction to English speaking adult learners. Learners receive one-on-one support from volunteer tutors, free materials to cover a six month period, free computer use, and access to the Yolo County Library collections.
 
Woodland Library Literacy Service
  Provide one-on-one tutoring for adult learners in reading, writing and comprehension skills. This goals-oriented program allows students to work not only on basic skillls but also on skills that can lead to improved job performance, completion of citizenship and GED preparation and a more fulfilling life though improved education.
 
Solano County Library Literacy Program
  Trained volunteer tutors provide free tutoring to adults who want to improve, reading, writing, and English speaking skills. Adults come to the library's literacy program with a variety of goals. "Adults can improve their literacy skills when they are given encouragement, guidance and appropriate materials."
